FIRE!

While a destructive element of nature, fire never stops intriguing me. Fire is a necessary element of keeping an ecosystem intact, unfortunately many of us live in the path of it. Thank goodness for our brave firefighters who work in all types of adverse conditions. Thank you all for doing such hard work!

Below find the Cottonwood Fire that started in Kelso Valley (the real one) on August 5th 2006. Scroll down for the entire sequence from the drive toward the fire along Kelso Valley Road near South Fork School to the fire and back again. Please do not copy these images but if you really want to share them, send your friends the link to this page. (I make my living selling photographs and copies of these are available for sale).
